Aboriginal Community Engagement

Family Services Illawarra has appointed Debbie Gaudie, a Wiradjuri woman from central west NSW in the role of Aboriginal Community Engagement. Debbie will facilitate relations with the Aboriginal community in the Illawarra Shoalhaven, develop the FSI Reconcilliation Action Plan, and in September coordinate a smoking ceremony for us. We congratulate Debbie on her new role.

Our Languages Matter: Celebrating NAIDOC in Albion Park

FSI is a 2017 IMB Bank Community Foundation Recipient

$500,000 was handed out this week to 50 projects which range from the installation of defibrillators at sporting grounds and funding for The Shepherd Centre to provide support programs to partially deaf children and their families.
